I completed my entry in Tania's book:

I used a thin grey inkpen for the lines and added colour with aquarelle. My fixative spray isn't working, so I need to get a new one on Monday and give it a few coats before posting it to Jenny.

Here's the entire book in my studio:


I played around with folding the book in different ways - I like how the accordion books allow you to create different views and combinations of the art inside:







The book already has a lot of stories in it, and there is only artwork by 5 people - I look forward to seeing how it turns out when it's full!

The Missing Books Case Part 2

Dear Moly Group,

We seem to have run into a block on the road. Seems that none of you have heard from Juanita personally nor has Juanita made any attempt yet at notifying us of her process on the following books: Anastasiya, Ea, Sandra & Rinske.

Till we hear from her and the status of the books altogether, we need to skip her and send all books from now on the next person in line; this means Sharon in the UK should be sending books to Lidia in Brazil instead.

Because of one persons motivation we have held up this groups process long enough, for some of us this is the second year in the group and I would really like for all of us to finish all the books this year.

Let's get ourselves together and find the time and energy to put care in each others books.

Lidia´s book finished and on its way to Rins

Taking Lidia to this cold european winter with my bic, markers and gouache. And ooops, i used up almost 4 pages. please rins, reconquer your space and work into and over my entry as much as you like. I sent this to Amsterdam today. Seven entries are done, six still to go.

Lidia´s book arrived in Germany

Lidia´s book arrived yesterday and it is indeed beautiful. Thank you Ea, for your lovely postcard. It´s always a special moment when you finally see all the drawings and paintings in real life- i already knew more or less how the book would look like, but it´s nothing like holding it in your hands, seeing all the details, the texture of the paint.. and so on. Some of us have been waiting a long time for the next moly to come our way. I´ve been without a moly for 6 months, but it is worth it. Defintely.

So I´m already buzzing with ideas for Lidia´s portrait and I´ll start sketching now! There´s a snowstorm over Germany right now, so there´s no way i´m leaving this cozy little house today...-4°C outside..brrrr. That calls for some indoor sketching.

I am leaving this cold behind anyway: I am moving to Barcelona/Spain this february for an exchange semester and i´ll be probably staying there at least for 6 months. This won´t affect this exchange or my dedication to it, only the moly-mailing will take longer. Ea sends the books to me in Barcelona, and i´m sending them on to Rins in Amsterdam. As soon as I have my new adress, I´ll send it to Ea.

I finally managed to complete my entry in Lidia's book, and it's ready to move on to Jenny next.
