My own book has been held hostage by Juanita since early September last year - it is now almost a year since any work has been done in it, Juanita is again not responding to emails, and I am losing my drive for this exchange. I still hope that she will release the books in her care, but must say that time is working against any belief I might have had that things would right themselves.
Could everyone please check in with an update on the books you have in your possession?
I leave you with a summer sketch from a riverside café in Århus:

Enjoy your summer/winter respectively.

Ea, I hope you get your book back and don't have to drop out because you have been such a wonderful member of this exchange. It would be a shame to have you leave us, too.
I am still unfortunately in a bit of a financial dilemma. I have no money, and as such have not been able to mail out Jen's book. And when I say strapped for cash, I mean I can't buy myself food right now or afford bus fare and am having to depend on my friends until a secure job comes through, which I am hearing back about tomorrow. So, I have her book and am going to go to the post office tomorrow to see how much it costs to ship to Russia. I'm also still waiting to get Sharon and Lydia's books from Benjamin, which I have not received yet.
I am ashamed Jen's book is still with me, but with the uncertainty with Mario and then me running out of all of my money, it's been tough lately. I'm sorry, everyone. I really don't want to let you all down. I promise I haven't forgotten you guys or am holding Jen's book captive. I'm just as frustrated as everyone else. Just right now I'm barely keeping my head above water.
Hello Ea!, I The past months i was involved in a several financial crisis, no work, no money, no light at the end of the tunnel (dramatic!), And because of that i have to keep more time that i want Sharon and Lydia´s books, Now the things changed and i have a work, not the work i want and i love, but it´s fine for me right now, i have money to send it , but no time until weekends when the post office is closed, i´m going to ask a friend of mine to send them for me, i think Alecia can make some wonderful art until she find a great job, moly_X can bring you a breath trough this financial dilemma ;)
And about Juanita´s theme, i think you should write to her and ask to send the books to the next person,i understand that some of us keep the books more time than others but i think she always keep them for ages with no response , and everyone works so hard in this exchanges and its not fair to lost a book in this terms.
I am ashamed as same as Alecia to keep those books, but i always keep in my mind i have to send them, please forgive me but life sometimes its not working for moly_x, and i share the frustration as everyone else too.
Hugs from the rainy México, hope sunny days cames soon for all...
Benjamín
Over here life is also getting a bit in the way of moly! and there is a money issue as well, it seems to be a theme all over the world..But i ám working in Benjamins moly, i will post a in progress-photo.
Ea, please dont leave us too! we love you! : ) Its just a fase/summer. I hope though that Juanita will finally answer, beacause she has my book as well and I dont want it to be the second moly I will lose in an exchange! you said she has 4 or 5 books!? has all of the owners tried to contact her? I will flickrmail her right now.
hold on ea! and you too, Alecia and Benjamin, hope your moneyproblems will soon be over!
Benjamin, I have asked Juanita to send the books on to Lidia, and she agreed to do that over one month ago, but she has not sent them and she has not communicated. She is, once again, ignoring my emails.
I am not really frustrated at slow work, or money problems making this exchange go solow sometimes - I think the only real problem in exchanges is when someone does not communicate for a long time, especially if they do not even reply to emails. And of course, even worse - the people who drop out of exchanges without giving any notice to the groups, and without returning the books they have in their care. These troubles have plagued several of the moly-exchanges, and this exchange has already gone through a spot of rough road before many of you joined.
I hope everyone who has a book in Juanita's hands will contact her directly, and request that she passes it on.
I really appreciate that you are responding to my post - this shows me the exchange is still alive and kicking, although it doesn't solve the problem with the books being held hostage by Juanita.
Please contact Juanita and encourage her to pass on the books. I also wish whoever has her book would please respond - perhaps it would be possible to motivate her by offering to send it to her once the books she has have been received by Lidia.
I don't have anyone's book nor have I worked on a moly for a very long time and I think at this point I am going to put my "end of the road" flag up. I have other projects and moly's I need to attend to. I been in this group for close to two years and I am happy to have had the opportunity on the books I worked on, thank you all for those who did draw on my book. I wish you all the best of luck. ^_^
Good news! I got a job, and a well-paying one at that! (If you're curious where, check out http://www.moonstruckchocolates.com) I'll be mailing out Jen's moly very soon. Please don't give up, everyone! I love this group so much and I'd hate to see it fall apart.
i´m working on a alecia´s moly and having a little trouble/lack of inspiration. will work on it next week and postit end of july to rins.
