Lidia's book

Hi! I'm finally done with Lidia's portrait and my own. I was traveling and wasn't able to post my entry on her book earlier this month but I hope you all enjoy it. (Ramire's contribution is peeking in on the right hand side) It will now travel on forward to Mario while I work on Ramire's book and await more molys! Cheers, Tania. ^_^

This is a piece I did for tania's book. I can't wait to see the next book that comes my way. I love all the work I have seen so far!!

At long last!

My entry in Benjamin's moly! I decided to paint our faces like the candy skulls (Benjamin tells me they're called "calaveritas") that are around on Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead. Dia de los Muertos also happens to be my birthday! :)
I've been a very busy girl. I also have my sign in page to show you!

So everybody picks a butterfly and labels it with their name. I hope you all like it!
Again, I'm sorry for my delay. I still have to get my portrait done and I'm going to get that done in the next couple of days. I have to start it over and inspiration is not coming easily to me. By next week at the latest these will be on their way to Tania!

Checking in
Hi everybody. Sorry I've been a bit quiet for the past month - this will probably continue for at least another month or so, due to some heavy grieving in the closest family. I do skim the blog regularly, although I find it hard to gather my thoughts enough to leave meaningful comments.
I'd like to check up on a few things. First - labels/tags. Please tag your blog entries with your name and other relevant tags. There is a list of active tags in the sidebar, and I have gone back and tagged each entry in the blog, so now you should be able to easily access relevant posts via tags.
Second - books and dormant members. I haven't received the next book in line for me (Mario's), nor do I think Sudjino has it at present, so there seems to be a jam somewhere in the rotation. Everyone please remember to contact the next in line before posting anything to them! This should help ensure that books don't pile up with dormant members.
Exchange members who have been inactive for a long time: Juanita, Tania, Mario and Calvin. Juanita has posted nothing since December last year, and both Mario and Calvin last posted in February. This is a long time with no check-in with the group - please all of you leave a comment to this post or make seperate posts to the blog with your news!
If any of you are in contact with the above or have sent them books, and especially Juanita, Mario or Calvin, please urge them to get back to the group ASAP. If we do not hear back within the next couple of weeks, I will be contacting Marty about the possible need of finding further replacements for the group.
I hope you are all fine, and enjoying summer. Please let us know when you get a book, work in it, and send it on. And let us hear from each other here, even when there are no books to work in at the moment.
Since I have no book to show, here is a photo of my husband and daughter picking elder-flowers for making cordial:

You can also keep up with me on my sketch-blog Ea's Artlog and my recipe-blog Ea's Kitchen (where a recipe for the elder-flower cordial will be going up sometime this week).
Happy drawing!

Work in progress
.jpg)
As you can see, i gave myself a old dutch folk costume. and last night I had the idea to draw old dutch delftsblue tiles behind me. I tried it out on transparant paper first to see if I like it. and I think I do : )
This drawing takes a bit more time than I thought, just a couple of days more and then I will send them all three away!
Have a nice week, everybody and if you have moleskins in progress, I 'd love to see it.

Calvin's book in the post
I've packed up Calvin's book and it's on its way to Germany and Jenny for more artistic adventures.

How do you pack up the books for posting? I have some bad experiences with artworks in the post, water damage and crushed corners, so I put the books in a plastic bag and tape it up to keep any moisture out. The plastic wrapped book then went into a bubble-wrap lined envelope - I forgot to take a picture of the front of the envelope, but maybe Jen will post one when it arrives.
Here is a scan of most of my final entry:

and you can see more images in my exchange set on Flickr.
